UPSC Civil Services Exam 2026: Pattern, Syllabus aur Beginner Tayari Strategy

UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) India ka sabse prestigious exam hai jiske through IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS aur 20+ Group A/B services ke officers select hote hain.

Har saal lakhs candidates apply karte hain lekin sirf 1000 ke kareeb final select hote hain. Agar aap UPSC ki tayari shuru karne ja rahe hain, yeh guide aapke liye hai.

Exam Pattern — Teen Stages Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Prelims) Do papers, dono objective (MCQ-based) Paper 1 (GS): 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours — qualifying nature for ranking Paper 2 (CSAT): 80 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours — qualifying only (33% chahiye) Negative marking: 1/3rd of marks for each wrong answer Conducted in May/June every year Stage 2: Main Examination (Mains) 9 papers — sabhi descriptive (essay-style) Paper A: Indian language (qualifying) Paper B: English (qualifying) Paper I: Essay — 250 marks Papers II-V: General Studies (GS) I, II, III, IV — 250 marks each Papers VI & VII: Optional subject (chose any one) — 250 marks each Total counted for ranking: 1750 marks Conducted in September/October Stage 3: Interview / Personality Test 275 marks Conducted by UPSC board in Delhi Personality, awareness, leadership, decision-making evaluate hota hai Grand Total: Mains (1750) + Interview (275) = 2025 marks.

Iske basis par final ranking aur service allocation hota hai.
