What can be done online
The myAadhaar portal (myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in) lets you update your address online — an OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile is required, plus a valid document (electricity bill, bank statement, passport etc.).
What needs an Aadhaar centre visit
- Major name change, date of birth, photo, mobile number, biometrics — visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra or a bank/post-office centre
- Appointments can be booked in advance on the portal
Keep in mind
- The fee is nominal — always take a receipt
- Track status with the URN number
- Name/DOB changes are allowed a limited number of times, so bring correct documents
