The monsoon has turned into a disaster in several parts of the country. According to reports, heavy rain and landslides have killed at least 10 people across India.

- Uttarakhand: Alaknanda and Mandakini in spate; a landslide at Nalu Pani hit the Char Dham Yatra and blocked the Gangotri Highway
- Himachal Pradesh: 75 roads shut, five water-supply schemes affected

The IMD has warned of heavy rain across 15 states; Himachal and J&K face the highest risk of flash floods and landslides. Travellers are urged to stay cautious and follow official advisories.
