- Go to incometax.gov.in
- Under Quick Links choose "Link Aadhaar Status"
- Enter PAN and Aadhaar — the status shows instantly
How to link
Use the "Link Aadhaar" option on the same portal with OTP verification. Linking after the deadline attracts a late fee — pay via e-Pay Tax, then submit the link request.
If PAN is already inoperative
- Submit the link request with the late fee — PAN reactivates within a few days
- If name/DOB mismatch exists, correct Aadhaar or PAN first
