Conditions are changing in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region. According to reports, families displaced by Naxal violence are now returning to Balebeda village in Narayanpur district.
What is changing
- Returning families are building homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)
- Schools, drinking water facilities, roads and other infrastructure are being restored
Road projects
Per reports, 236 km of roads have been sanctioned under Phase 4 of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, with another 292 km proposed. Residents have also sought Anganwadi centres, playgrounds and community halls.
