The driving licence process is now largely online — application, fees and slot booking all happen on parivahan.gov.in.
Step 1: Learner licence
- On parivahan.gov.in choose "Drivers/Learners License" and select Chhattisgarh
- Apply with Aadhaar e-KYC — in many cases the learner test can be taken online from home
- The test asks simple traffic-rules questions
Step 2: Permanent licence
- Apply after 30 days and within 6 months of the learner licence
- Book a driving-test slot at RTO Raipur (Pandri)
- Bring your own or a driving-school vehicle for the test
Documents
Aadhaar, age proof, passport photo, and Form 1A (medical — for 40+ or transport vehicles). Pay fees online and keep the receipt.
After passing, the licence arrives by post; the DigiLocker digital copy is legally valid.
