Bilaspur police have achieved a significant breakthrough by recovering five stolen motorcycles. These motorcycles were stolen two years ago, and now the police have arrested two accused, unraveling the case. A special police app named 'Sashakt' played a crucial role in this operation, helping to identify the stolen bikes. This incident marks an important achievement for the police amidst the rising number of vehicle theft cases in Bilaspur.

The police had been receiving continuous complaints of vehicle theft, following which a special team was formed. This team was utilizing both modern technology and traditional policing methods. The 'Sashakt' app, recently launched by the Bilaspur police, has proven to be a game-changer in solving vehicle theft cases. This app helps identify stolen vehicles by matching their registration numbers and chassis numbers with the database.

Role of Sashakt App and Investigation Process

During the investigation, the police intensified patrolling in areas with suspicious activities and began scrutinizing CCTV footage. In this process, some suspicious individuals were noticed who possessed motorcycles for which they could not provide satisfactory information. Using the 'Sashakt' app, the details of these motorcycles were checked, confirming that they were stolen.

The police acted swiftly and took two accused into custody. During preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed that they had stolen these motorcycles approximately two years ago. They were using these motorcycles for various criminal activities or were planning to sell them. The identities of the accused have been kept confidential until further legal procedures are completed.

The police stated that after stealing the motorcycles, the accused had changed the original number plates to avoid identification. However, checking the chassis number and engine number through the 'Sashakt' app revealed the theft. This app provides the police with on-the-spot access to the database, accelerating the investigation process.

Following this success, the Bilaspur Superintendent of Police praised the 'Sashakt' app and stated that such technology would continue to be used in the future to prevent and solve crimes. He also appealed to citizens to take necessary steps for the security of their vehicles and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.

This incident reflects the police's strong action against vehicle theft gangs in the city. The police believe that these arrests could also help solve other vehicle theft cases and apprehend other thieves. Further interrogation of the accused is underway to ascertain their network and other associates.

All five recovered motorcycles will be handed over to their rightful owners after legal procedures. The police have requested owners to contact the police station with their identity and vehicle documents. This case demonstrates how technology and proactive policing can together curb crime.

This incident brings relief to the citizens of Bilaspur, who have long been struggling with the problem of vehicle theft. The success of the 'Sashakt' app may also inspire other police forces to adopt similar technologies. The police also stated that they are working to further advance this app to enhance its efficiency.

The police have also appealed to the general public to park their vehicles in secure locations and use additional security measures. Additionally, report any suspicious person or activity immediately to the police control room. The police's goal is to make Bilaspur a vehicle theft-free city, and this is a significant step in that direction.

A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, and they have been sent to judicial custody. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing, and the police are trying to reach the bigger players behind this network. This success is a major achievement for the Bilaspur police.

This case also clarifies how effective the correct use of technology can be for law enforcement agencies. The 'Sashakt' app not only helped identify the stolen bikes but also provided concrete evidence to the police, making it easier to apprehend the accused. This is an excellent example of modern policing.
